Corporate Events & Team Building
Corporate Events & Team Building
Your team will make somethingย together.
Screens down, machines on. Unfold Den's team building sessions replace forgettable offsites with two hours of hands-on making.
Why it Works
Vanilla "team building" events are forgotten by Monday.
Escape rooms, axe throwing, trivia nights โ they're fun in the moment and gone by the weekend.
What makes sewing different is that your team makes something physical they take home. That object becomes a story they tell.
There's also something that happens at a sewing machine that doesn't happen at a conference table. People who never talk to each other across the org chart end up leaning over to help someone thread a needle. Hierarchy disappears. Sewing is a great equalizer.
-
๐งต
A real skill, not a gimmick.
Your team learns something they can actually use โ how to operate a sewing machine, work with fabric, and finish a project.
-
๐ค
Collaboration that isn't forced.
Helping a colleague finish their seam is natural. It doesn't feel like a "team building exercise."
-
๐ธ
Content your team actually wants to share.
A finished handmade tote or pouch is a better photo than a "team outing" selfie. It can also double as branded swag!
-
๐ฑ
Values-aligned for mission-driven teams.
If your company cares about sustainability, creativity, or local community โ this experience embodies all three.
What You'll Make
We work with you to choose the right project for your group.
๐งต Patchwork Zippered Pouch
Each person assembles a small patchwork panel from thrifted fabric scraps, then constructs a zipper or snap pouch. No two look the same โ which is kind of the point.
๐ผ๏ธ Mini Quilt Block
Each person makes a single quilt block that can stand alone as a wall hanging โ or if your group wants, the blocks can be combined into one shared piece the team keeps together.
๐ Lined Tote Bag
The elevated version of the classic. A lining changes everything โ it looks intentional, finished, and professional. Best for groups with a little more time or a 2.5-hour window.
๐ Thrift Flip
Everyone brings a thrifted piece โ or we source them โ and leaves with it transformed. Crop, patch, reconstruct. High personal ownership and great for sustainability-focused teams.
๐๏ธ Throw Pillow Cover
A little more heft than a tote โ something your team will actually put on their couch. Fabric choice makes every one unique. A crowd-pleaser for mixed groups.
๐ป Laptop Sleeve
A padded sleeve that actually protects something your team uses every day. Participants choose their own outer fabric, giving every sleeve a different look while the construction stays the same. Practical, personal, and a little unexpected as a team building outcome โ which is exactly why it lands so well.

๐จ Creative & Design Teams
Designers, marketers, and product teams tend to love this โ it's hands-on, there's real craft involved, and the output is something they'll actually brag about.

Yes โ we can source fabric in your brand colors and design projects that also double as branded swag. Let us know if custom colors, tags, or branding is of interest when you inquire.
How far in advance do we need to book?
We recommend booking at least two weeks out for best availability.
Can we add food or drinks?
Absolutely. Many groups pair the sewing session with snacks or drinks.
